MES is the Bay of Plenty, Coromandel and Waikato’s established leader in disability and medical equipment servicing. Our specialist team of technicians have the skills and experience to repair or maintain any disability, medical and hospital equipment.

We offer quality product solutions to support physical disability needs and are empathetic and sensitive to our clients’ needs.  We will respond to any call out request within 24 hours.

Terry Wills

Senior Service Technician – Tauranga
Terry joined MES in 2006.  His engineering background gives him a wealth of experience and he will go out of his way to ensure he provides the best possible solution to meet your needs.  As team leader, Terry encourages strong communication between all technicians and ensures training is maintained at a high standard.

Ross Nicol

Senior Service Technician – Tauranga
Joining the team in 2010, Ross is a fully qualified electrician with a vast knowledge of all types of electrical appliances and their components.  Ross is able to often able to complete electrical repairs and safety compliance without the need to send equipment away, resulting in a quicker turnaround for you.

Kevin Cooper

Senior Service Technician – Tauranga
Kevin joined MES in 2010, after working in electrical and electronic manufacturing/servicing. Kevin brings with him an immense knowledge and skills in this area.  His analytical skills give him the ability to quickly identify and repair complex components and circuit board faults.

Ross Bowden

Service Technician – Taupo
Ross has been with MES nearly a decade and is responsible for servicing clients in southern Bay of Plenty. He comes from a technology and service industry background and believes we need to make the most of what is available to help our clients. In his words: “I find it very satisfying being able to help clients – I enjoy troubleshooting and repairing their equipment to keep them mobile.”

Jim Simcock

Electrical Technician – Tauranga
Jim has joined MES as an electrical technician. He has 10 years’ experience as an electrician and previously spent six years as a service technician working with domestic appliances. Jim brings a wealth of knowledge to the team and says he loves the autonomy his new role gives him and the clients he gets to work with.

John Mallen

Service Technician – Whakatane
John joined MES in 2011 and covers the Eastern Bay of Plenty. He moved to Whakatane from Britain and is well-known and respected in his community. John enjoys the day-to-day challenges of fault-finding and repair to ensure clients are always satisfied.  John says his top priority is ensuring a speedy, friendly response for clients with disability equipment issues.

Japhet Santa Lucia

Service Technician
Japhet’s background is in computers and IT programming, but he has completed significant training on mobility equipment since joining MES, including programming and repair systems for Howard Wright beds. Japhet sees to service support needs and also gives the team IT support, as well as parts, stock control and dispatch of products to clients and distributors throughout New Zealand.
